MakeitOC is dedicated to assisting and educating early-stage innovators, product designers, and developers, and to providing the environment necessary to safely bring new products and ideas to market.
Innovation is not one-size-fits-all, and neither is the path to bringing an idea to life. We help inventors, creators, and innovators identify practical next steps that improve their chances of commercial success, without taking ownership of their ideas, inventions, or businesses in exchange for assistance.
Our members come from a wide range of backgrounds, including professional product developers, engineers, scientists, patent attorneys, entrepreneurs, makers, and first-time inventors. That diversity matters because innovation rarely happens in isolation. A breakthrough in one field often sparks opportunity in another.

About MakeitOC’s Meetings
We host a free monthly online seminar series open to anyone interested in invention, innovation, entrepreneurship, and product development. We also hold monthly in-person member meetings at Urban Workshop at 365 Clinton, Costa Mesa, CA. These private sessions are designed to provide hands-on guidance, honest feedback, practical advice, and meaningful connections from people who have real-world experience bringing ideas to market.
Every inventor’s journey is different. Some members are exploring a new concept for the first time. Others are refining prototypes, evaluating market demand, preparing intellectual property strategies, building a business plan, seeking manufacturing guidance, making industry connections, or exploring funding opportunities.
Our goal is simple: to help you move forward with clarity, confidence, and the support of a community that wants to see innovators succeed.
